Banana Strawberry Mango “Leftovers” Smoothie

Every now and again, I let my stash of food get depleted (usually right before I travel, which I will be doing) so it’s always fun coming up with creative dishes and drinks to prepare with whatever I have. On a scorching hot day like today, I had to have something ice cold and delicious. My craving led me to my refrigerator where I randomly whipped up the most scrumptious smoothie I’ve ever created. I couldn’t keep this one a secret…check out the recipe below and let me know how you like it!

Serves 2

(The measurements are approximations since I improvised)

1/2 cup unsweetened plain or vanilla almond milk (I use Whole Foods brand)

1 handful flax seeds

1/4 cup frozen organic strawberries

1/4 cup frozen organic mango

1 frozen organic banana

1-2 cups ice

Blend until completely smooth and enjoy immediately! 🙂
